Player

Player refers to the guy typing, Rather then the character in the world.

Oftentimes, especially when a Player wants to keep his character separate from himself, Will OOC'ly explain why he needs to stop a scene prematurely. "Bob's player needs to take his roomate to the mall." is a common excuse to stop short a scene in progress, and very understandable.

Remember, Pokemon Iridium is a nice fantasy world, And we really do appreciate you playing here, But Real Life should always be your first priority. Try not to become angry with a player who ends a scene early. (On the other hand, It's poor taste to disappear without saying anything.)

There are those who's character is an extension of the player. This is often called Persona Play (Or Fursona if you're a Furry Faggot). Persona play is welcome, but please keep in mind that this is a somewhat dangerous world. There's a chance that this extension of yourself may come to harm, And it would be an unfair strain on all the other players to ask that your persona always comes out on top.

Protip:
For the record, Alynna is a major Persona Player, while 
Gengar is very much one who keeps his character separate 
from his player on PX5. If you pay close attention, you
can see the difference in how they talk about their RL
selves! :3
